Event Overview
We are delighted to host the 7th edition of our Transforming Digital Pathology and AI conference, an event that brings together researchers, clinicians and industry specialists to examine the current and emerging role of digital pathology and artificial intelligence in diagnostic practice.
Recent developments in whole slide imaging, computational pathology and AI-based analysis are reshaping diagnostic practice and research. This programme brings together methodological, translational and clinical perspectives to examine how these approaches are being developed, validated and introduced into routine pathology workflows.
The conference will focus on the practical realities of implementation, including digital infrastructure, regulatory requirements, model validation and workforce readiness. Sessions will address how healthcare systems are managing adoption at scale, and what is needed to move from pilot studies to reliable clinical use.
Ethical, legal and governance issues form a core part of the programme, with dedicated discussion on transparency, accountability and responsibility in AI-supported diagnosis.
Taking place on 14 May 2026 at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, the conference offers an opportunity to engage with current research, share implementation experience, and contribute to shaping the future role of digital pathology and artificial intelligence in clinical practice. Together, we can push the boundaries of healthcare diagnostics!

2026 Technology Partners & Exhibitors:
Spotlight Pathology Ltd develops decision support tools powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to help in the diagnosis of blood cancers.
Spotlight Pathology’s products are developed in collaboration with haematopathologists and clinicians both in UK and overseas to help pathology laboratories increase diagnostic capacity, improve objectivity and minimise turn- around times for patients.
The tools integrate seamlessly with existing digital pathology infrastructure. Our Spotlight Lymphoma product can screen lymph node biopsies to identify and sub-categorise suspected lymphomas with equivalent accuracy to a specialist haematopathologist.
Integration into the clinical pathway as a triage tool has the potential to save pathologist and laboratory staff time and streamline referrals. Come to our booth to learn more about how Spotlight’s products can make a difference in your daily work. www.spotlightpathology.com
Synapse® Pathology was formerly known as Dynamyx® before the business was acquired by Fujifilm in 2023. This digital pathology PACS technology now has more installations and APLIS integrations globally than any other.*
The solution’s open, cloud-accessible architecture allows customers to select the slide scanning instruments, AI tools, and IT systems required for each organizations unique pathology workflows and use cases.
Synapse Pathology is used for clinical diagnosis, research, and education and enables pathologists to view images, render a diagnosis, and collaborate instantly from anywhere. Never wait for glass again!

UK NEQAS CPT plays a key role in informing national and international standards, guidelines, and best practice, particularly in areas critical to digital pathology implementation, including slide preparation, image acquisition, system validation, and diagnostic concordance. Through this work, we contribute directly to improved quality, consistency, and patient safety across healthcare systems.
Our internationally accredited and comprehensive portfolio is the most extensive of its kind in cellular pathology, setting global benchmarks for technical performance, digital image quality, and service reliability.
UK NEQAS CPT schemes are designed to support laboratories at every stage of digital maturity, from early adoption to full clinical integration”.
TileBio is developing digital pathology AI foundation models that enable computers to understand tissue biology directly from routine histology images. Our technology learns the underlying structure of pathology slides without requiring manual labels, allowing large collections of clinical images to be analysed at scale.
This approach converts microscopic tissue patterns into a structured “language of biology”, enabling new insights into disease mechanisms. TileBio is initially applying this platform to accelerate biomarker discovery for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, helping identify new drug targets and patient stratification strategies.
In parallel, we are developing clinical AI tools designed to assist pathologists by triaging cases and highlighting potential malignancies, helping healthcare systems manage rising diagnostic workloads.
The Sectra Digital Pathology Solution helps you make quick and accurate diagnoses of histopathology and cytology cases. The high end digital review application gives you the right tools to perform daily tasks and reduce the pain points with time-consuming manual workflow.
This includes sorting of images, use of built in or integrated image analysis, and built in reporting module, to mention a few examples. You get full case overview, including images from different scanners with different file formats, macro cameras, and other image systems, as well as patient data from information systems in the same application.
Part of Sectra Enterprise Image Management, this solution lets you access all kinds of medical imaging and patient information within the same IT infrastructure. You can easily review histology, macro and radiology, or other images side by side, which in turn allows for more efficient multidisciplinary team meetings and better general rad-path collaboration.
What’s more, the solution also lets you share images and information easily, for efficient information and resource exchange.
Sysmex UK has been the distributors and support network for 3DHISTECH digital pathology solutions since 2014. The digital pathology business has become an important part of the Sysmex UK portfolio of in-vitro diagnostic solutions.
One consistent feature of the 3DHISTECH product range has been the regular release of new and ground-breaking instruments every year. This year is no different and Sysmex UK is delighted to announce the launch of the Pannoramic P480 high-end slide scanner.
The P480 is the latest in a long line of high quality, innovative, digital pathology solutions to be developed by 3DHISTECH and is ideal for the busy clinical Cellular Pathology laboratory with innovative workflow design (such as the scanning of normal and mega-slides simultaneously in random access) and intuitive, user-friendly operating software.
Panakeia is a pioneer in AI-driven molecular profiling. The Company’s AI-driven software provides comprehensive multi-omic information (DNA, RNA, protein, metabolite changes) directly from routinely used images of tissues and cells in minutes instead of days or weeks.
The software enables same-day treatment decision-making in the clinic and fast-tracks drug development for biopharma without the need for time and resource intensive laboratory tests. Panakeia’s PANProfiler platform is available as a research use tool for patient screening in clinical trials.
The Company’s two clinical products for breast and colon cancers are built using the PANProfiler platform. These products are registered and clinically deployed in the UK with several more products in the pipeline. Headquartered in Cambridge, UK, Panakeia is focused on improving the speed and accuracy of pathology examinations for all patients.
