Event Overview

We are delighted to be back in Edinburgh for the 4th edition of our Transforming Digital Pathology and AI series.

This in person event will aim to discuss, debate and decipher the use of Digital Pathology in clinical settings and the successful implementation of AI aided diagnostics.

Bringing together, industry leading experts, academics and pioneering technology providers this event is an essential gathering for those at the forefront of Digital Pathology development, those just beginning and those yet to start!

With the healthcare industry’s shift towards digital solutions, Digital Pathology and AI have become pivotal in enabling detailed and quantitative pathological evaluations, like whole slide imaging and AI-based analyses. These technologies allow us to streamline day to day workflows and explore and extract information beyond human visual perception.

However, there are several difficulties encountered in the practical use of AI in clinical diagnosis. These include the lack of sufficient annotated data for the development and validation of AI systems, the difficulty in defining ground truth data for training and validation as well as the time and financial expense of adoption.

All of these together present significant challenges in the development and clinical translation of AI methods in the practice of pathology.

This event is designed to tackle the above challenges head-on. We want to create a space where you can exchange ideas, learn from others’ experiences, and gain actionable insights through real conversations.

Come and be part of a community ready to take on the future of pathology together!

Previous subject areas have included:

“Collaborative working: Development of pathology-based AI tools for the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer”.

Approaching Domain Shifts in Histopathology with AI”.
